We can't get enough of aloe around here. If we were stranded on a desert island and only allowed one plant, it might be an aloe plant.
Turns out, our gorgeous green star-of-our-soaps inspires a lovely scent as welI. It has a gentle sweep of something not exactly sweet, but mild, on top of the earthy herbal you'd expect from an aloe plant. To us, it's the smell of wellness.
Our Sargasso Botanica soaps begin with a base of coconut butter + aloe vera. To this, we add olive oil, mango butter, and wildcrafted Amazonian murumuru butter.
One of the botanical names for aloe is 'Aloe Barbadensis'. 'Aloe' is Sanskrit for "goddess" and 'Barbadensis' Latin for "Barbados," of course.
We like to think that of the amazing Aloe as one of the most famous attributes of Barbados. Maybe not as famous as Rihanna (also a goddess). But close.
